Reading Buddies

Twice a month a bus load of first & second graders show up to read with our residents.  Our reading buddies program is nearing it's 10th year now and has successfully improved the reading performance of these young participants by 34%.  The residents look forward to our reading days with great anticipation.  Many students come back time and time again, so our residents are able to make friends with the students and form a wonderful bond.
